Calling our planet Gaia immediately rekindles our connection to Earth and becomes a strong reminder that we are her children… It begins to dissolve our desperate feeling of ‘home sickness’ and starts to restore our sacred bond with the earth.
Inspired by James Lovelock’s GAIA HYPOTHESIS that “Planet Earth is a living, self-regulating ‘super organism’ – a planet in touch with itself and to whom we are holy connected” … we came to name our business, HALO GAIA Holistic Tourism.
With an immense love and passion for travel and nature, Halo Gaia has become a vehicle to explore, celebrate and share the natural heritage and rich cultures of South Africa and Mozambique.
